Mission Opportunity:  Tornado Relief
May 26 – June 2  ::  Phil Campbell, Alabama
This year our Mission trip is going to be to help one of the churches that was destroyed last April in the tornado outbreak that devastated much of Alabama.  The town of Phil Campbell is located in Northwest, Alabama and lost most of the buildings in the town including the Mountain View Baptist Church and all its buildings and the entire High School.  In this town of almost 1,000, 27 people were killed and a number were members of the Mountain View Baptist Church.
 
This year we are looking for many more volunteers to go and help this church rebuild its sanctuary and to show the love of Christ to a town that has been through a very difficult time.  No special building skills are required… just a willingness to help as their will be qualified team leaders on hand to direct the work.  If you can go for the entire week or just a couple of days, all hands are needed.
An interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 21 @ 7:30 PM.   The anticipated cost of the full week’s trip is $375 – $450.  More details to come!
